Joomla! - FTP Settings for a Joomla 1.5 Installation PDF Print E-mail

In Joomla! 1.5.x the developer has include the FTP configuration in the Joomla! core installation. User not required to use this function, but if you wish to use it, you should fill in all the field required during the Joomla! installation.
  • Enable FTP File system Layer - Yes
  • FTP User: your cPanel username
  • FTP Password: your cPanel password
  • FTP Root Path: /public_html (specify it if your Joomla is in a subdirectory )
Now, take a look into the Advanced Settings.
  • FTP Host: yourdomain.com
  • FTP Port: 21
